Experiencing time: from phenomena to mechanisms Phenomena My research focuses on time perception as indicator of cognitive functioning and emotional processing. Time perception ranges from seconds to minutes in perceptual and sensori-motor domains; it reaches decades when memory and anticipation of life periods are concerned. Mechanisms My studies on different temporal-processing mechanisms employ psychophysics, time perception inventories and neuroimaging (fMRI). Specifically, I investigate the effects impulsivity, psychopharmacological treatment, chronic drug abuse, and brain injury have on the experience of time.
